Rosés are one of the hottest categories of wine across the Pacific Northwest. Wine lovers are buying and drinking dry rosés in record numbers, and winemakers are only happy to oblige them by making more and more.
Pink wines are perfect for when the weather warms up, as there is little that is more refreshing than a dry rosé with a deliciously fresh meal.
Northwest wineries are crafting pink wines from Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Malbec, Grenache and more, and wine lovers are the beneficiaries.
A few of our favorite favorite food pairings with rosé include:
- Salade Niçoise
- Seared scallops
- Prosciutto-wrapped asparagus
- Gorgonzola pizza
- Beet salad with fresh goat cheese
- Pasta tossed with grilled vegetables
- Mild Thai curry dishes
- Grilled prawns
- Grilled sausages
- Fresh crab
Here are a few delicious rosés we’ve tasted recently – including a couple of Northwest sparklers.
