Elite producers prepare for Woodinville Reserve celebration

WOODINVILLE, Wash. – Wine lovers throughout the Puget Sound who can’t make the pilgrimmage to the Walla Walla Valley for “Leonetti Weekend” have a delicious alternative on Friday, May 6 with Woodinville Reserve.

That evening, Woodinville Wine Country will stage its fourth annual Woodinville Reserve from 7-9:30 p.m. at the tony Novelty Hill Januik Winery. It serves as a preview of spring releases featuring more than 30 of the Woodinville area’s top producers.

The list of wineries pouring at Woodinville Reserve include Armstrong Family Winery, Auclair Winery, Baer Winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Covington Cellars, DeLille Cellars, EFESTE, Gard Vintners, Genoa Cellars, Goose Ridge Winery, Gorman Winery, II Vintners, JM Cellars, Lauren Ashton Cellars, Matthews Winery, Novelty Hill-Januik, Obelisco Estates, Page Cellars, Patterson Cellars, Pondera Winery, Rocky Pond Winery, Three of Cups Winery, Torii Mor Winery, Warr-King Wines and The Woodhouse Wine Estates.

Cost of the evening is $60, and NHJ executiv chef Seth Fernald will prepare appetizers that will be served with reds, white and rosé.

Complimentary shuttle service from Seattle to Woodinville – home to more than 100 wineries and tasting room – is available upon request.

A portion of the proceeds from the Woodinville Reserve go to The Goodtimes Project, an organization focused on assisting children with cancer.

The night before, Woodinville Win Country will offer the season’s first Savor at Sunset, the wine walk that is offered on the first Thursday of each month from May through October.

Fernald’s menu will feature focaccia bread, mixed greens salad, a roasted cauliflower display, a roasted carrot display, vegetable platter, seasonal vegetarian pasta, seasonal meat pasta, Beef Bavette, roasted salmon.
