Lewis-Clark Valley winemaker Art McIntosh pulls Petite Sirah from two vineyards in Washington’s Horse Heaven Hills vineyards – Destiny Ridge and Zephyr Ridge – while getting a small contribution from his family’s own planting among the fields outside of Lewiston, Idaho. There’s a nice blend of fruit and barrel with blackberry and blueberry aromas mixing with cola, vanilla and cocoa powder. Inside, it’s a nicely balanced, lighter version of this typically brawny grape from the Rhône Valley, featuring flavors of black cherry, blueberry and vanilla. And those expecting some residual sugar won’t find it in this PS.
Production: 96 cases
