A motorcycle trip through the Alps inspired Stephen Reustle to make this Austrian variety his signature grape, and the self-taught Southern Oregon winemaker pioneered its production in the U.S. with the 2005 vintage. His plantings began in 2003, and they now span 5 acres across his two vineyards – Romancing Rock and Prayer Rock. This latest release ranks with his best, providing brisk aromas and flavors of lime, Granny Smith apple, white pepper, sweet herbs and river rock. It’s racy and succulent yet delicious because of its stunning balance. Enjoy with sushi, smoked meats, Vietnamese fare and asparagus.
Production: 206 cases
